I will be attending a conference at Redondo Beach during this time and will be bringing my boards with me.
We have heard sooooo much about the kneeboarders of the west being so helpful, as well as plentiful... , can anyone share the "where to surf local knowledge"? Maybe even hook up for a couple of sessions.
I'll PM you with my mobile number. Give me a ring when you're in town. I just moved to Redondo about 2 months ago. Would be more than stoked to session with you.
Let me know too. When I surf south of Rosecrans it's usually HB or River Jetties in the Summer. Been in the South Bay 10 years and I think I've surfed Redondo once. Heard it get's good...
Lots of waves in that area. You all should check the points in PV(Palos Verdes). There is a lot of hype surrounding localism in this area but my personal experiences have always been good whenever I am there. Give respect/get respect. Just park, walk down the cliffs, and paddle out. Good luck and have fun.- Chris
The whole week off? Sounds like it is coming together......a gathering would be a blast......"East Coaster finds great waves and west coast kneelo brothren as well"...........I am really looking forward to the trip. Let's talk in a few weeks.
Stephen,
Surfer Bowl contest is happening the weekend before your planned visit. If you come in a couple of days early and spend the weekend in San Diego you might sample some great surf spots and meet some more of the west coast crew.
looks like there will be a south swell filling in on sunday 4/17
could be good around home any of you available to surf on
monday 4/18? I have the day off lets hook up.
P.S. I will be home from santa cruz.......
and ready to enjoy some southern juice
P.S.S. This is Barry, live from the Manss Mansion
and heading south manana
Stephen Michael called me yesterday. We may try to hit the Brookhurst/HB State Park area if all comes together. The sand is real good by the river jetty at the moment. The tide is low and rising, so if the wind stays down. It could be real fun.
The Surfer Bowl is on for this Saturday morning - should be a healthy crew of kneelos around if you want to hook up. The contest is at the OB pier - see the contest thread for directions or just take the Sea World exit and follow the purple haze. Depending on who shows, you might even be able to beach enter.
Mark r. Greg s. Chuck (razor) s. and Tom b. met up with Steve and Will. Glad to meet you steve, and good to see you again Will, fun surf on the southside of H.B. we all shared. The crowd thinned out around 10:30 and shared a peak with longboarder "wave" hunter. Could be some more surf on the way this weekend!! Let us know where you'll be surfing.

No time to go north today but a few of us will be looking between Carlsbad (Tamarack) and Camp Pendleton (Del Mar Jetties). Try to come south if nothing up there
