NORTH SHORE GATHERING 2006?
Is there going to be a North Shore HI. gathering in 2006?

I am a traveller of both time and space, a weaver in and out of dreams, I see worlds seldom seen.

Puerto Rico Gathering
I heard there might be a Puerto Rico trip. Anybody know anything? I've got to go there on business probably in February and would like to hook up with some fellow kneeboarders.
Anyone else on their way?
I met Mike from Santa Cruz at Vland on Saturday. Dave Sears was also out. Unforetuneately the North winds kicked in and slopped the place out.
This coming Saturday, me, Jfooj, BillL, Mike, and couple other local kneeboarders are going to crack it somewhere. Gonna call Bud and Dave Sears, as well..
If any of you are coming, PM me your cell or local contact number..
As Mike said to me, "ahhhhh warm Hawaii... No wetsuit
"
NOTE: this was on a day with North winds... I was freezing in my short john and Sears was in his shortsleeve full suit..

Some crew here already having a "BLAST".
Surf has ranged from epic fun
to epic GIANT / MONSTER.
Great surf at Sunset, Back Yards, V-Land, Puena Point, Jockos and the West side.
That last monster swell brought fantastic waves all the way into Waikiki!
Yep it was firing 3-6' with just a handful out all day.
Dream waves was the report. #3s and #4s being one long perfect right barrel.
Storm rolled through fast and furious last night.
WNW winds beat the surf to trash out this way but Goat Island delivered a super fun no drama session for 3 of us early this AM.
Very strong side offshore along the beach but the island blocked it enough for the break to provide us with shoulder to head high crystal green tubes, some going 100 yards!
We did an afternoon rubbish run to the local dump near by.
Stopped for the surf check and saw Jeff Fujimoto as he was paddling in.
He reported a good 3 hour session with the first 2 hour having only 4 guys out.
It's COLD here. I kid you not!
(Ok not like England etc.)
54F in Wahiawa last night.
It was 57F in San Francisco last week.
I've been wearing a short arm spingsuit regularly.
Paul Wuslich from Santa Cruz is wearijng one and Dave Sears has been wearing his 2mil short arm full suit!
Those folks yet to come ought to throw in some light wetsuit with their gear, just in case it's still on the cool side when youi get here.
Back to back swell is forecast for the next couple weeks with varying wid conditions.
Strong tradewinds returning tomorrow and light winds over the weekend or early next week.
It'll be going off for sure!

Bud, thanks for the stoke-filled update, and the heads-up on the colder temps. I'll have my spring suit along, which also reduces the amount of sun screen I have to put on.
Incredible swell rolled through NorCal yesterday and I had a great time; even more demanding, island-style swell sounds on tap for when I arrive later next week (2/16) and beyond.
Will Wuslich still be around when I'm there?

Today's surf repot.
S I C K!
Bill Lerner, Craig Russel, Scott Wesling,
We should have cracked yesterdays venue.
The rumored new swell, did arrive there and with a vengence.
Thought it was great yesterday...............?
I arrived about 11:am, to find, a very spent, Pat Holzman with that "I saw God" look in his eyes.
He was calling it, "as good as Speed Reef G-Land".
He rode it solo for 1 1/2 hours until a couple of the local body boarders joined him.
Very sold 4'-6' Hwn scale trenching double ups........backless!
Rides were very intense.
Massive, comes to mind.
Pat wasn't kidding about the G-Land comparison.
Scott ?, a long time kneeboarder originally from Palos Verdes Ca. joined me and his friend Eric.
We paddled out to find 2 young stand up surfers cringing at the reef pass.
After they saw a couiple of our rides they braved the move to the main section 100 yards up the reef with us.
Everyone got fantastic Indo-esque barrel rides and some severe tax penalties for the efort.
Scott's recently moved here with is wife who just made Full Coronel in the Marines.
He's doing daddy duty while the wife is lawyer work for our countries finest.
Semper Fi!
So far the surf's been a real mix with holwling onshores a couple days early on, but mostly it's been great.
Lots of clean conditions and pumping swell.
We've been surfing with just a few other surfers most sessions.
A few kneeboard surfer only ones as well.
Anyone heading this way will have a great time.
