Grom Gathering II June 17th- Trestles
Grom Gathering II will take place at "Barbwire" (halfway between Uppers and Churches, immediately at the end of the road) on Saturday, June 17th. Shawn, Joel, Sebastion, Chris and all the other hot groms will be there. Old groms are welcome of course but let's really work on bring the kids out. I might have six new kneelos from our neighborhood coming.
We are planning on setting up for much of the day. Martin is bringinga Bar-B-Q in. Limited supplies of hot dogs and other food will be on hand so bring your own meat for the BBQ.
Let's show the stoke for the groms!!

A few thoughts on Recruiting Kneelo Groms:
One thing we often forget about kneeriding is how user friendly it is. Kids or any newbie can get to the "fun level" kneeriding much faster than on a surfboard. Kids with a history of body boarding can catch and ride waves almost immediately on a kneeboard, whereas, a surfboard takes hours of work to just stand up (much less have fun sliding across a wave face). Mu son's friends have been known to get 50 yd rides consistently on their first go-out on a kneeboard (try doing that on your first go-out on a surfboard).
When you combine the stoke and camraderie of the kneelo crew with the short learning curve of a kneeboard, the result is almost instant fun. When a newbie or kid gets a taste of this combination they are easily recruited into our ranks.
If we spread this word our sport will grow and survive.

HAHA! I should have me driver's license by then! Pray I don't fail the test on the 31st of this month. If I can get ahold of a car on that date, I will be there. The Blue Bottle will make a special appearance too, if all goes as planned. Stoked! I'd be really amped to meet you older rippers, and see the new generation in action!
dropkneeing is a sin...isn't it?
i heard they put a paved trail in but i didnt know they added a road too! lol im too old(halfway between Uppers and Churches, immediately at the end of the road)

ya
so you mean trestles down south right, like over by rincon kind of. I have only been surfing at all those places once. I just surf in SC. Sounds fun, Ill try and be there, its not every day i get to be with kneelos, all my friends surf so im usually the one competeing with them on kneeboardings side, it will be nice to chill out with some other knees for once. by the way my names keenan. dont get confused about all the local stuff, yes i am a pride filled local, but i wont be stupid to any of my fellow kneelos or snake anyone, i save that for the surfers who talk crap to me.
LOC AS F***, I air over surfers.
