Great! Wish I could make it... 31 hours of travel time and $2,000 airfare says don't count on me.

I will be there in Oct or Nov though... I'd love to attend a Gathering whilst I'm there. I'll keep you posted on our travel dates. I don't think Nov is prime wave season but not much I can do about it.... that's when my better half wants to go.

Post some pics of the Gathering... I'm curious as hell as to what the waves are like down there!

Cheers,

Don

Off The Wall Off its Face

The pics were taken today at about 10:30 AM local time.

It's about 6-8 foot right now with the wind expected to go SE tomorrow. I might just get a slight case of the flu on Monday and go to the Elands Bay Chemist for some sinus medication.

Cape Town West Coast Gathering

Post by Duane Bosch »

Hi guys

The Cape Town gathering is back on. We will be doing a little trip up the West Coast and surfing Elands Bay and the surrounding breaks.

The dates are as follows.

Sunday 16 May to Friday 21 May. We know that all of you have jobs and families but please just make the effort to come up on the Sunday for a surf with old friends.

Bobi Rossow has organised accomodation at the Elands Bay Backpackers for that week.

We will also be discussing dates for the benefit contest for Dalton Phillips to be held in Port Alfred later this year.

As most South African Kneelos know, Dalton is a 4x SA Champion and all round good guy who tragically lost the use of his legs in a car accident last year.

Last year a benefit contest was held in Port Alfred and we managed to raise over R5000.00 for Dalton and his Wife. More importantly all the kneelos present showed solidarity with Dalton and his plight.

This year we hope to raise even more money and get even more guys to attend the event.

For queries Call

Bobcat Rossouw 082 927 8036
Duane Bosch 083 457 1923

Spread the word and lets bust some turns.

Duane,

Any feedback on the gathering? How many guys? Where did you end up?

Saw some of the shots you posted of Elands & Klunkies. Looks like you at least got a little bit of swell.

We had the gathering up the West Coast.

Attendance was a little dissapointing but this was the first try so hopefully there will be more guys next time around.

The good news is that although the waves were not epic by West Coast standards their were waves.

Their were kneelos from as far a field as Seal Point so not too bad.

I will put in a full write up This week or next
