Beeline,
Let's hope that forecast solidifies and holds up over the next week. IMO, Wetsand.com is notorious for overestimating swell size, especially early on. But they make life fun and always get me excited, then typically they're right about 50% of the time. Let's hope they're on the right side of the 50% this time!
The real jewel of the event is a) the great cast list--what a collection of misfits, convicts, water pirates (Bob Gove is coming!) and rumrunners! But some of them have really nice families, which will be their redeeming quality. And b) you can always count on Big Sur to focus the swell at this time of year. I can't wait!!

Now here's a great surf forecast. It's from Surfline for Indo for this week:
Tuesday,Sep 6: 10-15 ft. - 2-3 times overhead occasionally 22 ft. and fair+ conditions.
Wednesday,Sep 7: 10-15 ft. - 2-3 times overhead occasionally 22 ft. and good-epic conditions.
Is Parkes still down there for this!!??
How 'bout a swell half this size for the Big Sur Gathering? Indonesia should be forced by the U.N. to share this one!
