Critters
That first creature looks harmless but the second one with the huge dripping fangs and the curved steel claw looks very intimidating and those beady eyes.
And the next photo with the pack of carnivours gathering around the carcass to establish the pecking order, terrifying.
Wow was I wrong wrong, I though your Nor Cal guys were mellow !
What a threatening clan you are.

I'll trade tips with you.
The best, by far, poison oak lotion is "Tecnu". As far as I know, it's the ONLY one that washes away the poison oak oil.
Now your turn: if Willow Creek and Sand Dollar (and the other place) are double overhead, like 10+, I probably won't be able to handle it--unless it's damn perfect. Those spots are swell magnets. With size, they're heavy--by any standards.
Do any of you have knowlege of any other waves in the area that might work on a big south, and be more do-able? I've always wondered about the stretch of coast south of there: San Simeon, Cambria...
I'm piping in with this now to maintain stoke, and also cell phone communication will be unlikely down there.

So what is a typical day at Big Sur gonna be like? Is there a general "around that time in the morning" where folk group up and figure out where to head out too? Back to camp a lunch? I'm new to this group so I'll need to find a buddy or three to hang out with. I did meet a few folk at the HB gathering, so there will be some familiar faces.
...and damned proud to represent the lower end of that spectrum! It's nice to be needed.
Any food plans brewing? Aside from beer? I will do large potato salad for Saturday night and Pancakes for Sunday. But for how many? With greater numbers it looks like we might have more than one BBQ fire going.
