PSAGH Gathering
What about a Southern California PSAGH (poor slobs aren't going to
Hawaii) gathering?
How about Sunday Feb 13th - we can figure a spot out that works for the
LA & San Diego k surfers & those in between. Maybe we wouldn't feel so left out of all the fun...
Let me know if there is interest - we can figure out where.
regards, walt

Pick a spot and maybe toofast and curtis will join in as well as long as its a dawn patrol session.

I just figured my budget for the NSG and I should be in the "can't afford to go" group, but it's too late to back out now! I can be sympathetic and gather with y'all that weekend though, since I'm not leaving until 2/15!
Black's - we've had so many gatherings here, maybe time for something new. It's a great kneelo wave though, no doubt about it.
Cardiff - I love cardiff when it's big and north, even though it's log jam city. Plus it's a great gathering spot and venue, with nearby eats as well. But if it's small it's not much of a kneelo wave, unless low tide and the bowl section is working.
Scripps - this might be a good call, the pier has had some nice looking waves lately and it tends to spread out a bit there too.
I'd also put my votes in for:
South Mission jetty.
Swamis ... longboarders would have a fit, but I'd love to see an all kneelo crew dominating the peak.
OB.

Curtis you can't come if you're going to Hawaii - Ha Ha Ha
Just kidding - OF COURSE you can come!!!
I'm waiting for the LA / Huntington Beach / Bolsa crew to chime in on
if they want to come and how far south they want to drive...
then we can decide on a good spot. Right now I think
Mission Beach would work - we could just pick a peak
and even if it's not as good as other spots - we would get
all the waves (near Belmont Park).
Thanks for everyone's interest so far - thought if we had
some fun it would take the sting out of missing the other
(you know where) gathering.
I'm thinking 6:30 - 9:30 AM - does that sound all right?
Regards, walt

Hi all,
I'm in! I'm soooo bummed I can't make it to the north shore gathering but at the moment i'm working on retiring by the time i'm 29.
I lived at 2826 Mission Blvd for 3 years during college and would be totally stoked on surfing the jetty with a few kneelos.
COUNT ME IN.
Curtis, how's that Parkes working for you bro? Joel tells me you've been ripping on it!
Take it easy,
Will
p.s. PV has be all time for the last 6 days! Anyone interested in coming up for a surf this weekend? PM me.

Hey , if we go to swamis, you guys we feel at home with those long boards you ride. I`m the one that will feel out of place. ....At the crystal pier it has been chest to head high. Slite off shore, little walled. Salt creek last sunday was headhigh and real tough to get out. Wave after wave with no breaks......... Any place is fine with me and a place with good eats is a plus..

my vote
Torrey Pines gets pretty good this time of year - plenty of room there for us to have fun. Most of those other spots are pretty tightly packed.

Good call Jack. Works for me.
OK - TORREY PINES it is! - we're ON for the 1st annual "Poor Slobs That Aren't Going to Hawaii gathering" (kind of has a nice sound to it).
It can last as long as the surf holds up. Low tide 6:22 AM, going up all morning - could be fun. The gathering will start at sun up. Everyone's welcome.
If the weather is like it is now - that will be great.
Best, walt
