G'Day all , if you haven't already checked out the sydney kneeboard club's webpage here's the address www.sydneykneeboardclub.com . We had our first single fin comp last month and it was a great sunny day .The surf was a bit ordinary but we made the most of it.
We held it down the south coast from Sydney at Huskisson just down from Oz Pipe . The beach is called Caves and we had it all to ourselves which is the case most of the time down there.
Anyway to check out the pics go to the website and have a laugh at some of the surf craft unearthed for this occasion.
We are going to be doing it once a year from now on as part our clubs weekend away trip. There's also talk of making it an open event for anyone who's keen to give it a go.

Funny you mention his name he has a son called Mat who has joined the club in the last year .He has just turned 15 and is starting to rip , he has made the final of our club comps the last 2 times ( I think from memory).Some interesting news from "The" Mike Novakov on the Sydney Kneelo website too - go to - read comments. The last comp in the semi he tried to go for a big re-entry and come down hard on his face bashing his nose on the board .He got out of the water to get it checked blood everywhere and then went back out to beat one of the clubs best surfers into the final.
From what I've seen he will be a chip off the old block . It might help having a 4 time World Champ for a dad.
