ocean7847,

Sorry about that must be my age.

Thanks for the reminder.

Kava,

Glad to hear you'll visit.
Forecast for this upcomming season is for lot's of Kona weather.
That means great surf possible from Kaena Pt. all the way to Chinaman's Hat.
Laie is right in the middle and home to some EPIC reefs. 8) :)

What are the dates for this? And roughly how much are accomodations for a week? I have no idea anymore.

Mike,

February is the date for this.

See original post above for accomodation help.

Avoid the "Waimea Bay Backpackers".

Mike Kennedy from the Big Island likes to camp at Maleakahana Park (Kahuku area).
There are cheap yurts to rent or cheaper tent sites.
There's REAL good waves within walking distance (short walk looooong paddle though) from there at times.
February is likely for those "times". :)

P.S.
I got you a purple front fin.
Check your mail Saturday.

Bud,

I think I'm in for this. I was thinking of the camping in Maleakahana Park, or the other "budget" place (PAUMALU HALE).

No airline tickets yet or anything - How soon do I need to book? Any other advice?
