When I used to surf NB / HB , the Ranch etc. during those really cold mornings when there'd be frost on the beach that'd crack under foot as you headed to the water, we'd put hot water balloons in a styro foam cooler and bring'm with us in the car.
We'd stuff one into our suits just before we got out of the car.
The long balloons were ideal as they'd wrap around your neck.
We were wearing the old O'neil Seal Suit type wetsuits with the big turtle neck.
We'd sometimes come in and get a replacement balloon.
They make a nice few minutes of extra warmth.
Or you can reach in and pop them for a momentary rush of heat.
Try it...........you'll like it!
