It’s been a while but I use to live down the Mendo Coast in Albion. There are some great surf spots up in Westport and it is one of the most beautiful locations in the world. I would be interested in going if the dates work out, I’ll keep checking. One word of advice, if you are coming from So Cal you may want to bring extra neoprene. Cheers, TC

I might be able to swing by and check it out--depending on date--I'm on the staff of the aforementioned Reggae festival, which, in case you didn't know Skansand, might not be happening. Major local battle over control, tearing community apart, hopefully cooler heads will prevail, it's too important for all of our local non-profits. If it does happen, I'll be real busy end of July, beginning of August. Also, that's prime snail huntin' country, with the season closed all of July but open again in August. By the way, where that diver got his head bit off by the grey-suited one, was at Kibesillah, a few miles south of Westport. I've looked at that place flying by in my plane, and it's got rocks going down into deep water--a great place for those guys to lurk...
It's already good tomorrow...

Is Wes bringing that magic BLAST board with the skull indentation in it with him to the gathering?

Skansand, don't know what's gonna happen yet--too involved to get into here...it could turn into another festival...I would wait on buying tickets until we know what event is happening...right now there are 2 events selling tickets for the same weekend, at the same spot and that just ain't gonna happen. It's a big mess, I'm just bummed for all the people who have come to love RotR over the years. [/url]
It's already good tomorrow...

flaps - Good luck. Music festivals are monster undertakings. We just wrapped our 22nd annual jazz fest here in Santa Cruz (high school and college: 64 big bands; 22 combos; 16 vocal jazz groups). Not as big as RontheR but you understand what goes on behind the scenes.
Few complaints and no one died so: success

Good luck with your fest.

I may be able to stop by but would be staying at the field camp a few miles inland. I will bring chocolate.
