Hi B. There is a kneelo character that surfs Bolsa, his name is Ler, your safer around the longboarders I am not that familiar with Bolsa, but he says it is insane, the sky is always darker there, lots of sea snakes, and sharks around also. I think some of the HB locals can confirm what I am telling you.
I am a traveller of both time and space, a weaver in and out of dreams, I see worlds seldom seen.

Ler rules Bolsa. He's like a rock star there. The beach babes are all over him. The longboarders fear him. While Bolsa is usually flat, slow, mushburgers that suck worse than any where on the coast, when Ler arrives the waves are transformed to green golden tubular dreams.
Also, one other important point! I lost my virginity at a bonfire beach party at Bolsa back in the day. Just wandered down the beach with Velma and returned a man. Yeah, on second thought- Bolsa Rules!!!

I'll bet he lives in Hawaii and just post' that he's at bolsa one day Ler, one day! (that is if there is a Ler at all heh heh)

Kava I agree with you mike fernandez bigfoot is an appropriate tag,
Wayne kopit and I did a recon mission with our longboards looking for the elusive Ler this morning up the bolsa jetty and penetrated deep into the muck and mire that is bolsa. After about a half hour of paddling we spotted a dead seal, maimed birds and floating fish...no sign of ler..
we did however get yelled at by a old hairy gentleman to vacate the premises who throwing rocks at us from the shore....wayne and I believe it was grandpa ler..
we paddled back out to sea under the bolsa bridge without spotting him.
tom linn... velma is lers older sister

Just wondering about Bolsa..........generally, does it hold it's shape pretty well? I've longboarded there a couple time (few yrs ago), and it was all close out walls when I was there.
Does the beach break need winter groomed sand bars to work?
I saw some pics on the Harbour site from last wk, and the shape looked very good.
