Oceanside Sunday 12-20 AM

Post by RT »

My other half's annual family xmas party is in San Clemente Sunday--so imagine my surprise when she agreed to my suggestion to drive down the day before and stay at Oceanside!!

So... anyone up for a mini-gathering or already plan to be there for a practice event at the contest grounds? Early!!!

Pray for waves and good conditions!

OUCH!! Just looked at the forecast, tide, etc. Looks to be a little NW swell, BUT 7 feet at 7am???

Anybody know if this place handles this much water??

Could be waiting until mid-morn....

RT, I'm sure the regulars can give you all the particulars but I can tell you don't worry too much about the tide. I was down there same time of year, same full tides two or three years ago and surfed it with Craig, Akio, and Ed Dimick and a good time was had by all. One thing you might want to be prepared for are some very icy offshore winds. I was keeping my hands in the water to keep'em warm. Good luck.

I agree with you gumby. The high tide was fun. But unlike you, I did get a lot of sand inside my suit. I`m heading back there tomorrow. Great surfing with you again Craig.
