Rincon Classic

Post by swheeler »

February 6 and 7, 2010 and per my request, they have added a kneeboarding division. I am a 54 year old ex big-rock kneeboarder (class of 73) and hope some young kneeboarders interested in honing their competitive skills will enter this contest. It is a fundraiser to protect rincon and wave access to coveted surf spots in the area.

Rincon classic

Post by swheeler »

Sorry mates. The event organzier just told me it was locals only and given rincon is part SB and part Ventura, I guess it would mean SB or Ventura county residents only.

I am assuming that since Rincon is partly in Ventura, part SB, both sides are welcome. Google rincon classic and go to their site to sign up. I know that a few years ago, Dane Reynolds was in the classic, and he's a ventura surfer.

This is a response to SWheeler, did I meet you in the water at Little Rincon? Can't remember if I was kneeboarding or SUP-ing. I do both there.

I'm still trying to enter the Classic but can't find an answer to when where and how. .
I PREFER to kneeride!
