Post by Casey Patelski »

SEE THE KNEELO COVE CREW'S TRIP TO NICARAGUA MAY 2010 IN ALBUM, GATHERINGS. 10-30 MPH OFFSHORES, UP TO 10 FEET, BUT WE WERE ALL SURFING ON THE BEST DAYS, THATS HOW IT GOES SOMETIMES. STILL SOME REALLY FUN SURF, ESPECIALLY MANZANILLO, A LEFT REEF POINT INTO A BAY. SOME WATER SHOTS COMMING SOON.

Thanks for the 132 pics--great overview of the trip and the waves.

Were those waves typical of how it usually is there, or did you catch it on a particularly good week?

Scott,

That time of year, winds blow offshore morning to night.

That time of year south swell energy is pretty constant. We got on average three surfs a day. Waves ranged from 2-10ft faces that week.

Any hint of south swell is magnified at the break out front.

The beach break to the south is real consistent too.

The area is getting more crowded as development occurs. Not prohibitive though.

A great turn-key surf trip. :D
