Jalama North South BBQ

Post by Jon Manss »

Jalama BBQ
I’ve been asked to help in the Saturday night dinner for the crew. We have a large grill available to us and here’s my suggestion. If every body brings enough chicken for their campsite I will be happy to season it and cook it Santa Maria style. Just show up with cut pieces and I’ll take it from there. If you would like something else fine, just be prepared to cook it your self. With one main entree all the same we don’t have to worry who brought what on the grill.
Also if every camp brought one side dish say enough for 5 or 6 we all could eat like kings. To further simplify the cost and organization bring your own fuel, oak or mesquite charcoal, eating utensils and beverage of choice and there you have it a BBQ fit for any size crew that shows up.
So we all don’t bring the same side dish post what you would like to bring here and we will see how it balances out.
SUGGESTIONS FOR SIDE DISHES; PASTA SALAD, GREEN SALAD, POTATOE SALAD, BBQ BEANS? OK BEANS BUT BRING YOUR OWN POT, GARLIC BREAD. You get the idea now let’ get cooking.

I've mixed a lot of things in my day, but NEVER pot and garlic bread... it's just too hard on the breath.

Public Anoucement!!!!!

The man: Please don't eat any of the brownies out there, we have had some people who are tripping too hard and can't come down.

The crowd: OH NO!

The man: We not saying everybody will be like this, but we thought you should know, there some bad brownies out there. Now back Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner, the hour long version, followed by the classic two hour long version of Purple Haze.

P.S. Don't forgot where you put your clothes.

Alright keep the fun & food ideas coming. I'm keeping a list and will sort it out as we go. Nice to hear from Paul. And it's nice to know at least Don takes me seriously, not like other mutinious peaple I know. Scott's contribution of Corrilitos sausage is one of Northern Cals. finest treats. Corrilitos is in the middle of apple orchards and the market has been smoking all kinds of meat with apple wood for years. The flavor is to die for. :D

Hi Boys- Jon I'm happy about the chicken and sausages and all, but make sure you bring your brother. Big tubes score big points, and we need him parking it inside for nor cal! PC

Ler are you bringing children?
