Join the Blacks crew as we celebrate another great year! This will be the third annual event and in spite of two years of sub-par Blacks, it's easily had some of the best waves of any kneelo gatherings.

3RD ANNUAL BLACKS GATHERING

FRIDAY, DEC. 31, 2004

8 A.M. TO 11 A.M. - SURF

11:30 TO ??? - BBQ AT THE WEINBAUMS

Join the Blacks crew for the last gathering of 2004. Afterwards, Dave and Felicia Weinbaum will be hosting us for tubesteak and beverages at their swanky house in Del Mar. Note: due to unstable cliffs and naked locals - it's suggested that you leave friends/family at home. The beach isn't a safe place to hang out for extended periods. Or just have them join us at the BBQ. We'll probably shoot video and have some funny prize for best tuberide. Juniors welcome (we'll probably have a few)!

Directions to Blacks:
- I-5 exit at LaJolla Villiage Drive and go west.
- LJ Villiage turns into North Torrey Pines - follow it around in front of the UCSD campus.
- Turn left onto La Jolla Shores Drive.
- Immediate right onto La Jolla Farms Road.
- Follow La Jolla Farms until you see Blackgold Road (or a lot of cars).
- Park and walk down the private road at the intersection of Blackgold and LJ Farms.
- Walk about 1/4 mile north on the beach and look for all the kneelos.

Be sure to wear shoes or booties down the hill as the road is murder on bare feet!

Directions to the Weinbaums (from Blacks):

- Take North Torrey Pines Road north to Carmel Valley Road (just before you get to Del Mar).
- Go East on Carmel Valley a couple miles to Portafino Ave (if you hit the freeway you went too far).
- Go North on Portafino to Long Boat Way
- Turn left onto Long Boat and go up the street about a block
