Aussie Titles

Post by scoop »

This is a copy of a message I received from Marty Booker re the Aussie Titles

I just got a call from Surfing Australia. They still have a few spots open for the Kneeboard heats of the Australian Surfmasters @ Soldiers Beach. @ $198. He said that (subject to change of course) the heats would be on the Friday and, if there were more entrants, a final on Saturday. Their number is 02 9349 7055.
so if you want a chance for a title get onto it quick

Tony

So, they charge nearly 200 bucks for entry to this event... and get nothing more than a trophy and a pat on the back?

the ksa charges 75 bucks and gives out money?

:?

NOW they're able to say when the kneeboarders event will be.
A couple of weeks ago this info was impossible to find, so the expectation was that we attend for the 10 days of the evnt and wait and see.
As a result of their poor organisation and communication no Victorian reps will be there (despite a few making a big effort to get info so they could take leave and attend).

ah, that Reminds me Hart,

I think i saw one on e-bay the other day.

It was lying there between the broken down toaster ($12. aus) and the second hand toothbrush ($3.50 Aus - one colour only - green).

Might still be there.
May need a little TLC though.

If I get it cheap enough I can send it down as your Chrissie present -seeing you didn't get one from the Novos last year (we forgot  blame grot )

But hey Grant

it's condition is "Used"

wouldn't give it belly room.

But seriously.

The way we are treated by surfing australia is ridiculous.

From what I can see, how they have handled the title process denigrates every previous Australian Kneeboard Title holder who has ever had to surf in a proper contest for the honour.

Or maybe it's just another way to phase us out.
See my little story about the uni titles in 76.
Good to see nothing changes.
