Video Clip: Standup Doing 540 Rodeo (via Surfline)
I ran across this and thought it was pretty insane. Any kneelos out there trying something like this? First one to post video of one of these on KSUSA.org, I'll be your personal board caddy and piss boy for a year!

I bet an experienced, young (I only say young because the young, like myself, are stupid and willing to break themselves off! And no, I don't think I can do one of these! Someone better than me yes!), and experimental kneelo could do one easily. Kneelos did barrel rolls 10 years before bodyboarders did them DK. I bet with enough speed, and a good, pitching section on a 3-5 foot wave a kneelo could easily huck one if they were willing to do so! It would just take someone willing to hurt themselves to get the trick done. I would gather that doing a rollo-spin on a kneeboard would be MUCH more dangerous than doing one on a surfboard due to the mid-flight kick-out bail-issue.
dropkneeing is a sin...isn't it?

pie
Steen - I'd gladly eat that pie! Seriously, this is really a challenge for the next generation...all you groms and post-groms. Ideally some 15 year-old who doesn't have to work this summer and can spend all day trying to perfect that trick!

You are right about that Jack!!! But where do the Grom's go to get the pointers and support to learn those basics and yes they've got the time during the summer.. but, I dont think many K-ber's are there for them,(I not talking to you Tom linn or martin).. to pass on the knowledge...anyways not from here on this site after seeing what kinda support the GROMS got after some of thier contest experience in the Pacific beach Classic...heard a lot of crickets when thier experience was posted on this site..not much response! I can only pass on my limited knowledge but I know there are k-ber's out there with much more experience to pass a long....so step up you guy's or this sport you'll take to your graves!!

PS: Rick - I'll be hosting a few intersquad contests prior to Santa Cruz here in So Cal. Most likely in the fall as folks get more serious about surfing heats. In the meantime, any grom is welcome to consult me during "office hours" at Blacks T/TH/Sun from 6 to 7 a.m.

Saw the video and thought it was Tight, but what I really like were the Backflips, those are amazing ive seen bodyboarders do them at the wedge, (from the No Friends videos) and now Surfers can do them so. Lets just say its left me a lil bit and I think ill turn the light on for a few others AKA the groms.

Here's more high flying inspiration for the kids............

The incredible surfing aside what I find extra amazing is that Jamie O'brien is not a skinny little kid.
He's big, heavy, super strong and still manages to be incredibly limber.
He'll boost psyco air maneuvers on the North Shore at Pipe and Back Door where you could die just falling off your board.
