I just wanted to comment on what a great event the world contest was. I'm a local Santa Cruz kneelo/longboarder (22 years here and Ocean Beach SF before that) and was really inspired to watch the action and check out all the board designs. The action on Tuesday and Saturday was awesome (days with swell and I was able to make it down to the Lane). Now I regret not entering...

I also ran into the Aussies surfing the east side the week before the contest. What a great group of guys. The matching jackets were pretty cool!javascript:emoticon(':D')

mark check you emails...i spoke to dom and she has alot of contacts for you for brazill etc,,,,i gave her you address today she's keen to help,,,,her friends sound pretty keen as well!!!

watch out mygod,,,!!!!the cars running like a charm and the old girls been scooting all over the place in it....

My nephew lives in santa cruz[on the east side]surfs everything from north of town to moss.Anyways,seems there was a lot of chatter about all the kneelos...Wherever they went,there were kneelos!.. :lol: Word finally got out about the contest,and some of the kids were stoked on the contest professionism,and the quality of surfing.
Also was quite a bit of interest in the various board designs and especially the quads which are the buzz right now.Local shop owner[my town] decided to find a used kneeboard,after watching us zip around on our little eggs in minnies,drove him crazy..... :lol:
