If I'm off of work that day I'm in!
It should be a fun road trip if nothing else.
Bob, stop being so thoughtful and just enter  My gosh, it's your home break and you NEED to be there. Jack, you too. If people are late with their entries so be it...they'll just have to find a way to enter in Santa Cruz if they need it. I say send em in early and if they're overwhelmed by entries then maybe they'll add a heat or two. You too Mason, and anyone else up in V or SB 8)

Brad, thanks for the encouragement. Of course, your right.

I'd bet any kneelo in NZ wanting to compete at the Worlds wouldn't likely get turned away anyway, unless they get overwhelmed with entries...not likely.

The guys that need to enter should do it quick, then (if any) let us bottom dwellers fill in the gaps to have full heats.

There's been some discussion about who should enter and if only those interested in going to New Zealand should be entering these events. I think that's noble - but I would encourage anyone interested to enter either or both the Ventura or Santa Cruz events (hopefully both). We're in discussion with WSA about adding a third and event potentially a fourth event before New Zealand. The potential venues include Salt Creek and DMJs. This is all very tentative but given the amount of interest it seems like we'd be able to fill the heats - especially if we can get in with them at those first-rate venues.

In terms of someone getting squeezed out of New Zealand because they didn't enter a KSUSA event, I think anyone who makes a good faith effort will be qualified. I think we'd also be willing to hear any "hard luck" cases. So don't sweat it. Have some fun - enter an event and let's start honing our skills so we can have some Americans win a few World Titles next spring!

Two weeks until the Ventura event - 9 entries so far. I expect, as always, a late surge of those interested so NOW would be a good time to get your entry in if you're serious.

Right now it's not looking good for DMJs (big bummer!) so Ventura may be the only event before Santa Cruz.

Here's the link to enter Ventura Sept. 13 event:
