thanks again to John and Scoop for organising another great contest last weekend at bendy.
all i have heard is great comments and positive feedback from my freinds that entered
Baden you are a absolute legend- still waving the flag for us old blokes!
great to see Mick Nov back in the winners circle- and young Nov should not be far behind in the open ranks- hopefully a future open winner!
a big thanks should go to all the sponsers of the australian kneeboard circuit, especially Rob Slater of Drift Kneeboards.
this man si the unsung hero of kneeboarding in australia, without him we would not have the kneeboardaustralia site- which he designed and maintains- all the great pics and video that he takes, and of course the great Drift Kneeboards that you see been ridden by the Simpsons and co
check out the site, there is a link to the new PHILLIP ISLAND CONTEST website- thanks to Jim Brown and all the crew down at the island for getting the site up and running.
ps motion sickness is coming(the new drift dvd)
cheers

And he was very stoked to tell me of the Grand Master's Final..seemingly moreso than of his own

His father won it (unreal Michael..so glad to hear it)

Michael has been in self-imposed exile since the World's in Wollongong in 1996 (which in itself, is another story)

..Matt relished how his dad triumphed over Baden in that heat

Baden is such an accomplished contest surfer, that it took an even more accomplished one to design a strategy to beat him..

:D

A touch of Northy down south

Yeh I was stoked because it was such a close final between the two of them, both my dad and Baden surfed great but my dad got the better waves and got to pull off his forehand signature 360 off the lip. It was a great heat which is why I was so stoked for my dad to have won it.
