Congrats to Richard, Jodie, and Mark. Looks like solid surf! Also, great to see Marc back at it.
Our Titles are just around the corner. Looking forward to a GREAT time. Three days of hanging with 60-80 kneelos :D

Just outa interest what size do punters put on Jodies wave?

5 ft ish?, Jodie is quite 'petite' so the pic may be a little deceptive.
There were solid 6 - 8 ft sets rolling in out the back.

With this break and most UK beach breaks, it's not so much the size of the waves when your on them, it's the paddle out that goes with it, it took me 15 minutes in the semi's to get out the back.

Respect to Jodie for not settling for the inside and an easy life. 8)
Thanks to the organisers and congrats to all the winners.

p.s. this swell produced some of the best waves for months at one of my local breaks that's a little bit more sheltered and offshore. 3 days of 4 - 6 ft perfection AND it looks like we're due for the same again :D :D - check out the North Atlantic WAMS and pressure charts.

Yep, Id agree with that Richard

a number of the waves i see posted from the uk, particulaly Cornwell, look similar to Bells Beach waves

there is also constant debate about wave sizes around here between punters, predictors and daily reporters...no one ever really seems to consistantly agree
