Dates for Phillip Island 06 have been confirmed by the organising committee, they are November 11th and 12th. Negotiations with sponsors are underway, all of last years financial backers are onboard and two minor sponsors have made inquiries about the cost of stepping up to major sponsor or presenting sponsor status.
Neil Luke will back up as head organiser of the event that his name has been synonymous with from its first year in 1984. See photos of that event on the event web site that you can get to via the links to the Australian site which is linked to this site on the homepage
There has also been firm interest from a well known US competitor and his family who regarding a 2 week visit that would include his entering in the Phillip Island Classic, the first time in 23 years that a US resident has travelled to the Australia specifically for the event.(I did not forget Albert Munoz, just decided that his Australian residency suggests he travelled to Oz for the whole package rather than the icing on the cake)
A great idea, that others might consider as the next world kneelo titles that would be an international trip for competitors from the USA is not till 2009.

Jamie-
With the Santa Cruz Contest moved till later, there is a chance a few USkneelos could make the trip.
I'm going to working for the next five months, which could free me up for just such a trip. Please let us know how we can enter.
Good to hear from you, Bro

Thanks Tony-
I'm gonna put this one on my Calander.
I'll probably just fly down and have my "kneeboard caddie" Albert drive my boards down. Make the trip much easier.

Well, it's true. The family Jamie referenced is the Harris family. We'll be heading over Nov 7 and return on Nov 25. One week in Philip Island, one week heading up the coast and a couple days in Sydney.

Lot's of time to plan for this and we are can't wait to see everyone.

And now back to the Ed & Albert show...
