I had three missed calls from Jamie this morning... seems it took the boys two hours to get through customs, must have been really busy at the airport, Jamie nearly had a heart attack!
We need reports on Phillip Island. How is the surf? How are the groms hanging? Who's winning? Who's losing? Is my kid still alive?
Just a few details.
I'm picturing Chris, Sebastion and Sam watching the sun set after a hard day of surfing perfect waves toasting their Fosters brews while surrounded by Oz babes.
Congratulations to all those who helped on Alberts great initiative, trying to imagine how stoked those groms chosen are takes my memory back to my first contest i never knew what a historic event i was about take part in or the growth that would follow ,but i was beside myself in anticipation and sought advice on how i should approach the event .I spoke to a competetive savvy surfer by the name of Peter Drouyn ''have fun its not important where you come but that you came ,coming first is not always the most important thing if you achieve your personel best'' or words to that effect .Good luck to all
the contest:duranbah 1971

Steeno - let's see, Sam is hanging out with Albert and Chayno. Good surfing influences? That's a bit of an understatement, eh! To say he's stoked probably doesn't cover it!
