entries
We're at 10 entries in the junior division - including groms aged 10 to 20. That's a record for a KSUSA event.
Hensley's Update: our pre-contest gathering will go off Thursday at 7 p.m. at Hensley's on Tamarack. No doubt several will be on hand earlier for happy hour and dinner. All are welcome - entered or not!

question
I got these questions as a PM:
#1 Where exactly is the contest? Can you provide a Google Map link? I'll be staying at the Days Inn.
#2 As for rules, I'm curious about priority. Is it standard surf etiquette, closest to the peak? Scoring will be what it will be, I just need to make sure I get cleanly on a couple waves.
1. Perhaps someone more savvy with the Internet/directions can help me answer? I just know it's at Oceanside Harbor - you follow the road all the way around to where it cul-de-sacs at the North Jetty. There is some limited 2-hour free parking near the south jetty - probably best to bring some bucks and pay to park all day at the contest site (if spots are avail).
2. Generally, priority goes to the first rider to get up and make a turn - otherwise it's the rider on the inside. This is pretty straightforward so you should be fine. Just remember not to crossover if you and another rider come at each other from different peaks. I'm not sure of the exact rule but that's where I've seen a lot of interference calls made.

Here's a map of the contest location. Parking at the Harbor is impacted by construction. Perhaps some of the locals can provide detailed info on the parking situation. There is parking right in front of the contest zone. I'm not sure if there is a time limit or parking fee. You can also drop off at the contest zone and park at the free parking near the entrance to the Harbor.
Contest is at the North Jetty. South Jetty and a couple of miles of beach break south of the contest will provide plenty of opportunity for free surfing.
Check out the KSUSA Titles Info Page for details on the contest and location. This is a work in progress. If you have any corrections or suggestions for content, let me know.
