2007 KSUSA Titles - Let's See The Results!

10:20 here on the right coast and my brother's heat with Barry in it should be wrapping up. Anybody have any info?

I live about 45 min north of Oceanside and it was raining heavy the whole way down. Did a u-turn at Trestles and headed back home.
Not sure whether or not they postponed it?
I'm going to make some calls.

Got a text from my brother, he took 2nd in the first heat of the day.

D'oh, cancelled after 4 heats or so.
Barry took first over my brother in that first one.
Get to work on the reschedule!

Contest Cancelled for this weekend after maybe 8 heats.
The City of Oceanside revoked/suspended the permit, due to rain runoff in the water. Apparently if there's more than .25" of rain, the event must be postponed 72 hours due to what I assume are health concerns. It doesn't rain very much here, and when it does really bad stuff enters the water through storm drains.
All this based from what I've heard, and isn't the official word. The surf was very small. I finished last in my heat after getting only one knee to waist wave.
Headed to Baja. Should be waves down there.

I wasnt able to get down there this weekend due to family issues but if the contest has been postponed is there a chance of getting in on a late notice if not I may just go down for a free surf.

yeah, it was cancelled. runoff. it was small but good to see 50 kneeboarders in the water at one time. kind of surreal. and yeah, its hard to beat barry.

Yes, score it RAIN 1, KNEELOS 0.
Hopefully we'll have some new dates for the event next week - likely we'll reschedule for sometime in early 08.
Everyone is welcome to gather tonight about 6 p.m. at Hensley's (Tamarack exit off the 5). No reason to hold back since tomorrow will probably be ugly as well.
Drive safe.

Open it back up for registration after you get the new dates, I'll make my brother fly me out.

Hi all
if anyone wants the new sparrow dvd there are only 13 left in the states and I will have them for sale at the pub tonight.
Had fun this morning surfing with you Pat.
and if you think im tough to beat wait till you get back to vegas
you might be better off saving that $ and going to new zealand for the comp in 09
