Starting off...
The simplification of 'interference' was nice.
Paddling, dropping in, or in any circumstance... a deduction is given only if one contestant impedes on another's ability to score points.

There was tons for me. He had a very direct delivery that added to the appeal.
The best part was when I asked him just before my last heat what I should do if a non-competitor in the contest area wanted a wave I was looking at.
He said "That guy does not exist in your mind! He's not there and no matter what he does you are GOING"!~
He also gave me a lot of great advice when I was working the PA while EQ was in the water or prepping for a heat. Those judges were very solid professionals.
