He is gnarly
Those turns were so sharp and he knows where to be at the right time...always

Jordys turns and hacks before that quarterfinal were Killer... I thought...
And Mr Florence, Kerrzy and Young were also my favorites in that contest
Great to watch

South wind down here for a month striaight every morning always bumpy

Rounds 4 & 5 were amazing to watch yesterday. Looking forward to the grand finale tonight. :D

Could you imagine what it would be like if you had a kneeboarding contest in waves like they're getting at Keramas

John how killer was that!!!!!some top surfing and that Santa Cruz kid is showcasing what he's got...those backside vertical hits of his are amazing.
Nat's heat with Wilson will be a heat to watch
Powerful backside attack vs huge air/ barrel rider
My money's on Kerr though
He's in it to win it

Egad.

Nat surfs past Wilson, only to be 'outdone' by Bourez in final seconds.

Dunno about that call, but DANG Nat's been solid!

Those waves... 8)

And, as a bonus, local is coughing up some niceness :D

Maybe this is 'Family Year'

Recall the Mel's during KSUSA Jan contest / Maverick's / SC contest

Now, it's Parkes... World Champ Dad, and Garrett has a heat coming up at US Open (Heat 13, now on 10.)

8) 8) 8)

Round 1, Heat 19: Garrett Parkes (is the Champ in town?)

Saw Garrett this morning, had my Friar Tuck with me  Garrett surfed with some big powerful hacks for a guy his size. Big vertical hits backside and big carving gouges going frontside in the bumpy waves. He should do well in the small surf, he's light, but packs a powerful wack! 8) He beat Damien Hobgood and Torrey Meister to advance into round 2 tomorrow. Might take some photos.

Jumped onto the live stream for that heat, and DANG did he just pull a rabbit out of the hat! Final seconds, last wave of the heat... went from 4th to 1st and on to R3 8)

Edit: Ok, I missed something... he missed out on 1st in that heat by .04, but still advancing
