Hoping to hop down ... or should that be happily hoping of hopping down for the weekend ... hopefully.
I have work commitments the following week and weekend in Melbourne ... so with a bit of luck a cunning plan may be hatched and put into action ... can't set anything in concrete as yet ... but ... keen to have a bo-peep and meet a few kindred souls ... its only four hours down the road ... hey Gordo.
On another note Parko wins number three for the year ... looking good ... Mick was a bit unlucky not to progress ... losing by less than one point in the highest scoring heat of the contest ... the boys are on fire.
Oh ... and that shot on the home page of Chayno in the barrel ... absolutely sen-bloody-sational.

Was looking a bit sad up till today just checked the 7 day swell forecast and there is a new system starting to develop close to the coast off southern NSW by late next week full on s-s/w swell here's hoping

yep champing at the bit after the solid Bells early this week.
Boy that is a fun wave, I know a lot of guys claim that it is fat, I just love the carve factor, call me old fashion.
Look forward to meeting up with you guys, see at Coffs or along the way

Heading off Sunday (tomorrow) and calling in for a couple of days at Treachery to look up a bit of this southerly swell thats been hitting the place of no waves - I hope it's getting up as far as Seal Rocks, weekday daylight surf, I'll be living the dream I've been having at work the last few months. See yous all up there thursday or so.
Cheers Wolruss

revised swell forecast, if we're lucky we might get 2-3' e-n/e swell with varying winds n-n/w on fri. Sat s-s/e increasing to 2m+ through sunday could be on with off shores pred. right through the weekend. Bring you guns J I C

Friday morning and I'm still at home
My Coffs Harbour sojourn has been postponed
Work commitments in as much ...
Keep me occupied ... and man that sucks.
Anyway ... such is life
On the upside though ... there will be less strife
But Old Crazy would have had so much fun
Causing havoc and drinking rum
Surfing ... laughing and running amuck
Que sera ... its just bad luck
No good whinging and getting the tom tits
Hope you get some fully sick waves and filthy pits

Another great contest, and despite the poor conditions it started out in on friday there was some great surfing to be seen. Sunday being the pick with nice clean swell around three to four foot and off shore winds to wind up the finals in. Some funny times with the usual pranks and shinanigans going on, great to meet some guys face to face as well, good people good atmosphere and well run.
A special mention has to be made of Jake Hadcroft coming all the way from South Oz as well as Budgie and MJ from Victoria - what an effort (and expense). And as John says "Looks like next years going to be bigger and better"
Hats off to everyone who attended and organised this event.
Cheers Wolruss
