Hermosa Beach Contest Update

Fellow kneeboarders,

Here's the skinny.
All entries will be filled out at the south side of the pier at the beach.
All fees will be paid at the beach ($30. cash or check)
Contest will be on rain or shine, big or small.

The contest is just for fun to keep our competitive spirits alive. There will be prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and all who enter will receive a tee shirt.

There are plenty of eats in the area within walking distance.

Directions: 405 to Artesia (91) West
Left on PCH/Sepulveda
Right on Pier Avenue
Left or Right on Hermosa Avenue. Parking is either meter or pay lots. The earlier you arrive the better luck you will have.

I know I said I would surf the contest, but due to lack of surf, I will not be during this contest! Thank you for having a kneelo division!!!! Next Year will be better! Please post the results..

The contest is still on even with the small surf - it should be about chest high at the most. Those of you who wish to come are welcome. The contest is a yearly event so maybe next time we will get better waves.

The contest has been postponed until next weekend due to lack of waves. If anyone is still interested in competing let me know. I will post more info as it becomes available to me.

Is it gonna be Sat or Sun, and what is the meeting time in order to enter that AM. Also, do you have any idea what time it may be over??? There's a chance I'll make it.., but SD commitments may prevent it.

Kneelos,

Here's the latest on the contest:
- Sunday March 28th
- Starts at 7am, but you need to register at 6:30am on the south side of the pier
- Cost is $30. (check or cash )
- Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
- All that enter will receive a tee-shirt
- The heats will start around 8am and the contest should be done by noon

I would like to fill at least eight spots if possible but there is no limit of space and all are welcome.
