Thanks AB

Apologies for late reminder.

WindanSea Boardriders is holding its annual Pa and Ma Bendall Memorial Contest on 20 and 21 February 2010 at Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.
The kneeboard division was reinstated in 2006 and we have appreciated the support of local and interstate competitors. It's a friendly atmosphere and a chance to showcase some good kneeboarding to the surfing community.
Past winners include:

2006 Craig Ashdown
2007 Baden Smith
2008 Simon Farrer
2009 Gavin Colman:
and
2010 ? Mr Anal Birth

Possibly a bit much for the engraver? But we wouldn't mind having a squiz at some of your carbon fibre specials.

Please contact me by PM if you would like an entry form emailed, or posted to you alternately KSA has kindly posted the entry form on their website.

Hey Ant, AB on the trophy will be fine although it's just a bit premy
how's the kb div, being run, separate from the stand ups ? or is it just slotted in when the wind goes on shore :o

Hi AB

The WindanSea committee review the situation on Friday arvo and given there is a lot of stuff to set up they usually make a call on the main venue then.

Ideally Ann Street or Moffats would both be OK and a decision between them would come down to how the tides pan out. Moffs being more versatile than Ann Street around low tide. Once a decision of the main venue is made the kneelos can choose where we surf our heats and semis (reviewable Saturday morning).

Last year we went with Ann Street and when the wind swung got some clean challenging waves. We then ran heats and semis in a relatively gentlemanly manner to produce our four finalists. We also run a consolation final for those unlucky enough to have been eliminated in their heats.
The final is then scheduled in for Sunday arvo at the main venue amongst the other finals. It is judged by the main judging panel. Usually get a good crowd watching if Moffats is the venue. Chance for a free surf Saturday arvo and Sunday morning.

Entrants also get a bag of goodies, T shirt, hat and a pair of Souls thongs.

All right I'm coming to the Ma & Pa Ok
I'm driving back from the bottom of tassie starting today

After I'd said goodbye to the seals and penguins and ended up missing the ferry off Bruny this morning by 30 seconds , after driving up the island for an hour.... :x
,and then already late going to my granddaughters birthday party dressed as a ladybird
the omens are not looking good:) :( :?:

Getting on the bigger ferry on Monday better not miss that one  and driving up the map and not stopping till I get home, well maybe stopping at Merewether to see the folks (and getting some serious competition training on the old home break....NOT
but the Beach hotel might get a look in.

THEN after I get home (ETA friday pm late-ish having driven 2500km) I'm turning around to get to Dickie beach at 5 am, stuff Old Crazy, I must be nuts.
Serious competitors need not worry I''l be the cripple that can't get out of the driving position  I Will be looking for lubrication
See you guys on the beach.

G`day Riq, i`ll probably be sitting on the sidelines watching. The camera will be out so you`ll need to perform well.
A new southerly swell is forecast to start coming in on Wednesday.
Just had about 10 days of swell getting into Noosa, with a cast of thousands. Managed 7 days at The Pot with only 1 minor collision.

Hey Riq

That's a fair haul from from 43 south to 26 south - take care. Swell's pretty dismal and it's sticky as buggery today, probably even hotter up Mick's way.

Will be watching the swell forecasts - but looking hopeful.

:D G`day Riq, the latest forecast is looking good for Noosa from Thursday onwards, you should get back just at the right time.
Hey Anthony, can you find us some shelter on Sat from the Sou`easters.
33 up here today, had a job shovelling stones and trimming bougainvilleas, lasted 2 hours before dragging myself home-sat in the rain for 10 minutes to start rehydrating.

Ho Wanderer,

I'd better go on the multivitamins NOW but in a pinch caffeine'll do, ETA sunshine coast or Como past Kin Kin (where the banjos play and the antelopes..no wrong song,.) sometime late Friday just enough time to empty the green machine and wax up ready for the early.
