Hello, thanks and a plea for pictures.

Post by Richard Hewitt »

First of all a big hello from the U.K. to all the Americans that made it out to Tahiti, you did a great job representing your country and I hope you enjoyed the whole experience as much as me.

Second, thanks Ed for digging out your dollar bills and helping to sort out the airport taxi fiasco, if it had got nasty I was planning on hiding behind you. In passing the U.S. customs must have emptied all my stuff out at LAX because the board bag arrived in the U.K. minus all its carry straps etc. which meant I had to drag it home !

Thirdly, if anyone has any surfing pictures of me for the U.K. Kneeboarding site I would be grateful as at the moment I haven't got any and James has loads!

Lastly, if you guys host the next worlds I'm sure you will do a great job and I'll do my best to drag a full British team out as we have got a decent depth of talent here and it shouldn't cost the mega-bucks that Tahiti did.

All the best, Richard & Jayne.

Richard -

I have a picture of you ... but you're wearing a Tahitian diaper. Not sure if that's what you had in mind, but I'll be happy to post it nonetheless

I'll scour my pics and see if I can identify you on any of the pics. Lots of my pics are unidentified as of now, just trying to match the heat sheets that were posted (but incomplete) with jersey colors and dates.

Darcy,

Great selection of pics. Thanks for the upload effort.
Good to meet you and the U.S lads.
Can you believe it - I chose the chicken meal on the plane on the way home. After 3 weeks of chicken!

Hi Darcy, I've had to put up with pink diaper pictures at work all week, one was stuck on my office door on my return.
I had a quick look through your pictures, well done, some nice shoots.

Hi Red, good to hear from you. I didn't have chicken, but on the other hand I hadn't been eating it every day for three weeks, a valiant effort!.
Perhaps we should start a thread on the benefits of a chicken diet on the UK site.

Inigo, good to hear from you also, It was a long trip home, my feet swelled up so big I could barely get them through the airplane door
Keep in touch as Northern Spain is high on my list of surfing destinations.

I will post some pictures to the gallery soon.

Cheers for now,

Well I think you deserve your own headline, but I guess its something just to get any press coverage.
