Is there any confirmation of the Coffs Harbour Competition in May yet and if so is there an entry form out?

Sorry Scoop hope you don't think I'm hurrying you guys along. Some one told me they saw an entry form somewhere and I couldn't find it. I hope to get up there for the contest and there are quite a few kneelos that live up that way that are interested as well. Even the old Bear said he might even dust off his board.

Need to know whether the contest is a go or a no, asap.

Gotta book airfares to Coffs, work extra hours to pay for contest entry, build credits at home (is Coffs a wash the dishes 10 times or 15 times trip?) etc etc

Other details (contest entries, where to stay, etc.) I can sort out later.

Blessing on your collective heads Tony, John C and the rest, for all your hard work over the past few months.

Be there on the Friday night for a informal get together chat and comp layout...We are late at giving out entries cause we want to include sponsors info.....we are looking at a venue with accom but low quality...against nicer venue but further away without accom for same income though no requirements to heed the input from us....there is so much accom in coffs you could walk up and have lots of choice
Opposite Park Beach where we most likely will hold the comp is a street full of various quality accom (though we would love to have an accom sponsor)
The comp will be followed by a Sunday evening presentation at the same venue as Friday
I am also getting more rashies so we can double bank if required so as to get through the day quicker
The website should be up and running within a few days as I have promised to back it for at least the first year till we get some more permanent site sponsors...(offers can be sent to me or John)
I saw it last weekend and Slats has done a fabulous job at its creation
Any more Questions I will attempt to answer as quickly as possible
Ask away...

Looked at flights into Coffs $$$ and problem with availability.
How long is the drive from the Goldie?

Neil and I will fly into the Goldie if we can get a discount fare and drive to Coffs fri, but we need to come in under a budget of $500 for the weekend or we'll be eating sand in Tahiti (what's the sand taste like in Coffs?).

Red,

It is about a 4hour drive from the Gold Coast to Coffs Harbour maybe half hour less on a good day. Maybe someone from up that way can give you a lift down on the Friday. I'll be heading up from Sydney/Central Coast on the Thursday evening, getting into Coffs late Thursday night, if that is any help to you?

Its about a 6 hour drive up from Sydney on a good run
At the moment its about $280 return with Virgin
Im not sure what Im doing yet...looks like ive missed the $59 specials

"The Hoey Moey" has real budget (backpacker style)accom right on Park Beach and over the road almost every place is a motel so would be easy to just walk in off the street (would be 50 at least)
On the Hwy in town the average is about $68/double
Just found one with Qantas $251 return
will be keeping my eyes open though

where are all the competitors looking for info?????

maybe our new KSA site has all the answers

"Stick It" wax(the grippiest grip) and "Surftrader" (everything for the kneelo) have come on board as well as sponsors along with the "Hoey Moey" hotel and "Friar Tuck" kneeboards...
I am leaving on Thursday for the drive up the coast (from Sydney)...anyone need a lift????
will be returning Monday some time....depending on the swell I spose
wish everyone good luck...

cheers
