:D Steven Bradbury or not, it was a good weekend.
The surf came up at just the right time, weather was great as was food at the pub.
Good atmosphere and some quality surfing.
Well done Womble-new state champion. AB surfed well and deserved to make the semis.
Got home and it`s almost dead flat on the coast again.(still flat)

Yes indeed ... a fantastic weekend ... a well run and fun competition ... good food ... a few cleansing ales and great company ... happy days.

Hats of to John C ... your work behind the scene and during the comp is very much appreciated ... and to Trevor ... thanks for getting the ball rolling ... Plantation Hotel a go go indeed.

This was my first venture into kneeboard competition and I enjoyed the experience profusely ... from watching other people surf ... checking out different boards and their variations ... right down to the social side ... it was a hoot in and out of the water.

Hopefully the talk of forming a club of sorts in the area comes to fruition ... its a great area ... either way I'll be back for sure.

Sooner than you think ... :D

hey mick, i finally did it, went in to buy a new washing machine and came out with a canon 500d as well, got it for $1152 with the 2 lenses now iv'e just gotta figure out what all the buttons are for, the last SLR i had was a contax 36mm, simple as, which i still have but can't bring myself to use, it all seems like to much trouble. :D I`ve got a long way to go learning how to use my Canon-will need a new camera by the time i get consistent good shots.
Only briefly looked through the weekends pics, many out of focus or too distant but a few crackers.
Within the next week or 2 i`ll try to get a pic of every competitor sent to Rob Slater to put on the KSA site.
1 pic of each finalist is up on the site already, i`m sure the Reefrat will have his pics up before too long.

My 4th Coffs comp, enjoyed each one. So far it`s always been great weather and atmoshere and some kind of wave. 2008 was memorable.
