The first round looks pretty fair all around. Good job Ed and Tom!

Looking at the forecast, I think it's going to be another case of surviving the first day to get waves on day 2! Crash diet this week for you "big and tall" guys!

Any chance of moving the OPEN QUARTERS to Saturday when there might be at least a chance of swell?

Here's the Sean Collins feature on the mechanics of Huntington Beach - I love these features he does - great comprehensive information:

Which area is closest to the pier, 1 or 2?

So stoked for this event! In my opinion this is the strongest field we've ever had for a KSUSA Titles. Everyone should have a great time competing, free surfing, watching the heats, checking out everyone's boards and being part of a KSUSA Titles that should be a great success :D
The weather should be nice as well.

Bring your friends on down to Sandy's for the evening gathering and pick up some contest gear and buy some raffle tickets. If you can't compete because of work or injury, or don't like to compete you can still support KSUSA. Also, we will have an auction for a stay at a brand new luxury house in Costa Rica near Playa Negra. Plan on a summer vacation with your family or friends.

I'm amazed at the support of our sponsors who donate boards for the KSUSA Titles. We are going to have MANY boards to raffle off this year and these guys realize the importance these items are to the overall success of the event and are happy to do so. Please review the sponsor list on the back of your new Hoodie or T-shirt and support these guys and these companies. Drop by the FrogHouse and say thanks! You all know the routine 8)

A quote from the Frog House... T K Brimer

"At the same time I try to keep a selection of local manufacturers here. You can find Dano and Baltierra Surfboards as well as Ron Romanovsky Kneeboards. And by the way we are seeing a re-infestation of knee riders coming to a surf break near you. We use to sell 4-5 kneeboards a week in the 60's and 70's. By the 80's and 90's we only sold 4-5 a year and now we are selling 4-5 a month. You know they are around because the handicap parking is so full at the beaches around here. Only kidding knee riders, we love you."
