2011 Pa and Ma Bendall Memorial Contest Sunshine Coast

WindanSea Boardriders is holding its annual Pa and Ma Bendall Memorial Contest on 19 and 20 February 2011 at Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.

The kneeboard division was reinstated in 2006 and we have appreciated the support of local and interstate competitors since then. It's a friendly atmosphere and a chance to showcase some good kneeboarding to the surfing community.

For those heading onto Phillip Island for the World Titles it’s a chance to get in some practice, renew acquaintances and meet some friendly folk. February is a relatively reliable swell window up here with prospects for tradewind swell and the odd chance of cyclone swell. It’s also warm, wetsuits have been in the cupboard for months now.

The cost for entry is $80. All competitors receive a competition bag which includes a t-shirt, thongs, wax and other items. We also run an informal mini-comp for those riders knocked out in their heats with a consolation prize up for grabs.

Looking forward to it Anthony.
Last year was great to watch, even better to see 3 local blokes competing against Gavin in the final.
The interstate blokes surfed exceptionally well, but apart from Gavin, they were no match for the locals.
