Ok
Matty Gallagar has confirmed winning 1999 & 2000. Thanks for that Matt.
The only ones I can confirm by trophy for the moment are 1985,1991,1992,2008,2012.

Simon, thanks for the great write up. I have already stolen jamie’s to use for the local paper. I hope to see more pictures soon, there were plenty taken and a lot of footage as well, it just takes a while for us vicco’s to get things going.

The comp is only as good as the people that attend, and over the years we have been lucky enough to have World Class fields. This years event was right up there with the best. I think the depth of talent is shown by those that were eliminated along the way. Even the lower grades were very competitive. And most of all , it was enjoyable for all competitors.

The history of Kneeboarding on the Island will be commemorated with a trophy recognising Neil Luke’s contribution over four decades, and continues with the Victorian club now running the Island Ink Pro.

There are still some gaps in the history but I have Baden on the hunt, so I think we will have more information soon.

Great read Simon and Jamie. Well done for your semi final Jamie and congrats on your win Simon .I think this might of been the 4th time Deno has been the bridesmaid?

Did Gav colman ever win the island pro, i think he may have claimed one in the mid nineties

Hi Stan,
Thanks mate. Yes Gavin did win at least one absolutely. He beat me one year just not sure which one out at centre crack Penguin parade. Gav surfed in the corner at the point and i surfed the main peak.
I feel for Dean, I think i have at least half a dozen seconds myself over the years.

I saw you out Kitties on the Monday after the event, i couldn't do it mate

Jim - looks like you already figured it out (your previous post has a photo in it?) Or did you mean something else?

Cheers Simon - looks sweet! 8)

How do you get a video up here?
I've got every wave of the final recorded, but I'm at a loss as to what to do with them!
Tried to email one to you Simon, and to legless.tv, but the files are a bit too big, so no go...
Can I post you a USB stick with them on it? Not crash-hot filming, but they are on 'film' all the same. Give me a yell via email (if you've still got my address) and I'll get them to you somehow, if you like.
Cheers, and congrats on the win!!!
...but I like to be different...

Put em up on YouTube or Vimeo and post links is the best bet. Can't wait to see them beginning to think there was some sort of media blackout conspiracy going on considering the caliber of the comp! Why so quiet????

Nothing from legless...Why?

...because we leave the majority of comp stuff, to sites like KSUSA and Kneeboard Surf Australia etc.

Also neither Rob or I was at PI. Our other legless members where present, but not to write an overview of the comp thats not there forte

On legless.tv we are happy to say there is a comp on and talk about kneeriding lifestyle, some progressive kneeriding and the characters that make it so, but we dont want to try and be everything for kneeriding....we are trying to stay a little more kneelo organic on legless.tv

..phew... I know we all struggle with time, just to do what we do now on legless.

lucky we love it   8) :D

I've got over 40Gbs of footage, including the final. I've started to edit but it's going to take a while to work through it all to find some reasonable clips. Also my mac is connected to our TV so getting to it and kicking the teenagers off it can be tricky.
