Hi HW - I met up with Steve in Jan just before he boarded a flight for Oz. Not sure where he is now though, he's been quite the intrepid explorer recently traipsing around various islands with an earthrise under one arm and a video cam under the other

Sorry to hear you've been out of the water, but to be honest we've had probably the worst wet season of surf I can ever remember. Loads of local storms and windswell confusing things, gale force winds... all very weird. On the plus side the water is steaming hot so not all bad! Hope you get to your knees again soon
