Outstanding victory Simon! Big congrats to you and all of the Finalists. We're used to seeing Chayno and Kyle and are assured of seeing more of Tom in the finals now. Stoked for you Tom 8) :D 8)

The combination of the KSA & Surfing NSW crews efforts were very highly commended by all competitors - not one whinge was heard - a thoroughly professional event. Some praise from some very seasoned competitors added to the positive vibe of the event, John Clingan & Luke Madden (Surfing NSW-event manager) & crew can hold their heads high, looking good for the South Coast (Kiama) comp in November.

Got to agree, wolruss. Fantastic event and a great weekend had by all. The organisers are to be congratulated!
Just got to put up with the Grommit getting two awards versus Dad's none...

It was pretty cool that Tom scored the Contest Champion Award in memory of Shannon.
I remember driving home from Phillip Island with Shannon, and he said how he thought Tom was the surfer to watch into the future - his pick for a real up-and-coming champion - because he loved watching him surf that weekend, and loved his style.
Nice coincidence! Well done Tom!
...but I like to be different...
