It was easy, they are all still working on their high school diplomas.

Beyond that; a smaller, but still pretty good size, run of South-SSW (180-195) swell will move in for the 6th-10th time frame. That looks likely to keep nice size 3-4'+ surf going at many spots while standouts in OC (especially North OC) and a few select other areas see head high+ sets. We will keep you posted while we track this swell as it heads our way.

What time does it start?
Do they serve breakfast?
When is it over? (got a 2 hr drive post event)
If you get stoked watching the comp - when/where can ya get wet after the event?

I know the general downtown/pier area, I used to live in HB.

What time does it start? Get there early, who knows when they start the kneeboarding, but the heats should be posted on the NSSA website by next Friday.
Do they serve breakfast? Huh?
When is it over? (got a 2 hr drive post event) It was over, trophy in hand around 3-4pm last time.

If you want to compete, you need to become a member first before hand by Wednesday with your payment sent in, but you are too late now because you have to download and sign the waiver and mail it in.

Thanks for the info - Found the 'heat times' link at NSSA - that's really all I needed, I won't be competing this season.

I'm coming up from SD - anybody have room for one more it their truck? Plz PM me.

The NSSA is going to try to make sure the final heat is over by 3-3:30pm Oct. 6th so Devo can leave the contest he is competing in to get married.  8)

scraped this of the feeds today:

Weather:

Through the rest of this week, mornings at the beach begin with areas of low clouds, patchy fog and light/variable winds. After the cloud cover clears out, it’s sunny skies for the afternoons with a moderate westerly sea breeze and high temperatures along the coast in the 70s. Ocean temperatures will range from the upper 60s to 70 degrees.

Waves:
There will be a steady run of south-southwest swell from the Southern Hemisphere all week, along with minor northwest swell. Lots of spots will see surf in the shoulder high to a foot overhead zone, (in the 4-6-foot range), while top breaks get up to 7 feet-plus on sets. Slightly smaller but still fun southerly swell mix continues for the weekend.
