I am with tahiti_nui on this. KSUSA has always been a bit vague on the National Champion issue. They hold the KSUSA Titles. What the "Title" is has never been clear. The winner is the KSUSA Open Champion?

Wow, big tip of the cap to all the contestants and fans who showed up,
hoping Mr Fernandez will provide a thorough recap and an official photo, but till then,

Our first NSSA Kneeboard Champion in almost 30 years!

Going into the heat today, felt Ed just wanted this a bit more than the other fellows. He said he had a great tune up yesterday and came in fired up, and it didn't hurt his warm up surf this morning on the north-side was blessed by Mr 'Bolsa' Butler. (Black Board Voodoo - Whoo Knew)

Thanks to Mike for acting as the conduit with the NSSA and for making this a passion project priority, and all the great tour stop recaps.

Hope to see not only everyone who competed in the kneeboard circuit this season, but more of you others who we don't get to go out with other than January, in the 2013/14 Kneeboard Circuit.

Fins Up....

It was cool to the guys in some decent surf (even though there was a ton of current)
A lull at the beginning of the heat had a few of us viewers nervous  then everyone started to deliver and get some waves
Congrats to Ed for a solid win those hits were killer
Good luck to all you guys in the next season

THANK YOU, MIKE FERNANDEZ!

This season was an absolute blast and it's all due to The Spainard reaching out to the NSSA.
He's the real Champion.
We could not have been more encouraged or welcomed either. NSSA puts on a pure class event.
"Announcing Scores during the Heats" is really a game changer as well.

Tip of the cap to Tom Linn, SEANN NOONE, and Eric Peterson. I literally did not catch one rideable wave in a Final all season, yet those guys figured out how to win multiple contests each. Cheers.

Can't tell you how stoked I was to pull up to the beach Friday and see bombing sets. 8)
Thanks to all the boys for showing up to support their Kneelo Bros.

And big props to Coach Backer. We came up with a strategy for the tricky conditions and sweeping currents that worked perfect. I only got swept through the pier twice.

Guys, we had a blast all year.
Hanging every month, talking crap, watching The Kid and other guys get better and better before our eyes.
Jump on board. New Season starts in August.

Just got an email from Gayline and Janice at NSSA.

Awards Ceremony for Championship has been moved from Hurley HQ back to CONTEST Scaffolding at HB PIER.

Tomorrow (Weds) at 4pm

They said I'm the only one "required" to be there, but hit me up if you are gonna go.

It appears Surfing Magazine dropped Kneeboarding from their list of NSSA Nationals "Full Results".

They took out many divisions, longboard, duke, super seniors... but let them know of your displeasure.
