NSSA Southern California Kneeboard Contest Circuit 2013/14!

Post by Mike Fernandez »

Folks, the new 2013/14 NSSA season dates are posted and Gayline would like to know which ones you guys want to enter. If it is possible, please post here if your interested, which ones and how many, or you can e-mail me.
I can let her know. The new season starts in August. The sooner she knows the better.

There are ten total dates, three are Sat/Sun at the same spot. I could see using seven of those days.

I think like last year, the Sat/Sun dates only have kneeboarding on one day. Good point to bring up with Gayline this Friday Curtis if you guys would like to get two contests on those days.

I think a single day is enough, less $$ and more family time. Sundays work the best for us as there will not be any school sports on that day. I would like to see a couple of more days so more people can participate and no restrictions on how many you have to participate in if we get more people on board.

Hey, I'm interested. Is everyone from last season going to surf again (no one has posted here), or will I have a bunch of 1-person heats?

Mike, do you know if since there was regular participation last season will it be OK to just join NSSA and then pay for each contest as they come up?

Thanks!
Brad

Brad nobody is letting me know which contests they want to be in, not that they have to.
The competitors need to get together and figure out which five contests they want to be in. Five was minimum last time, I'm sure you can get more if you guys want.
You should pick the dates now. I doubt if you can just enter any contests you want. They won't hold a heat with two people.
If there were hundreds of kneelos, it wouldn't be a problem.
This ball is rolling so you guys keep it going.
I may show up at the local HB contests when I'm not working, but I'm not going to drive down to SD this year.
Good luck.

You have to join NSSA and pay for a min of 5 contest..... maybe a little feedback from last years guys. August is right around the corner. Thanks

How about this:

Start with HB in Sept and do 5 in a row
1. HB
2. Salt Creek
3. SD
4. Cardiff
5. HB

I am leaning toward all seven locations. I am sure they would not hold us to the minimum five. Seven comps means more flexibility to do the ones that work for the individual.

I'm In! I like #1-#6 Starting in SD and ending in HB. I Like Saturday Comps-Sunday has some Mean traffic going back to Oxnard.

Folks, I have numerous people contacting me about which contests the kneeboarding are going to be in. Please post here what the general consensus is.
Looks like this thing is growing.
Not sure if there are private e-mails going around, I'm not getting any, but posting here publicly makes things run smoother.
Thanks.
