Wow, some really big names went down in the quarterfinals--quite the bloodbath! Congrats to Parksie, continuing to show his mojo!

What were the surf conditions like? Any video out there?

Just swap the 'B' and 'C' grade results over - they are reversed somehow.
That is, they are correct on the official sheet you can see.
(Since been fixed by the looks of it)

Congrats also to the Women and Cadets for toughing it out in some wicked onshore conditions on Sunday afternoon! Narelle Fenn, Catie Jeffries, Mikayla Tinsley, Cameron Tinsley, and Gustavo (our Venezuelan grommet!)

Here's a rough cut of a couple of heats. Those dots in the distance are kneeboarders. Anyway, it gives some idea of the conditions and how well some of the guys were surfing compared to others. Features Simon, Nov, Chris Carey, Tim Cadwell, Pom and a few others.

I updated the video. Still crappy quality, but all 15 minutes there now.

The vid got trimmed at 10 minutes, so Simons and a few other waves got trimmed off. I'll see whether I can persuade photobucket to take a full load. I'll try to get quality up a bit, too.
