11th Annual Dempsey Holder Ocean Festival

Post by southpeakbrad »

Hi everyone,

The 11th annual Dempsey will be held on Sunday, September 28th at the Imperial Beach Pier. Entry fee is $40.

http://www.wildcoast.net/media-center/news/1089

This is the 3rd year that there's been a kneeboard division. In 2012 we had 1 heat, last year 2 heats. Let's get 3 heats this year.

It's a really cool event for a good cause. Plus, it will serve as a nice tune-up for the KSUSA Titles in November. Hope you can make it!

Hey Mike,

Not sure yet. The last 2 years the heats were around 10:30. I'm expecting heats to be posted on Friday sometime. Looking forward to seeing you!

There's a couple of openings. According to Jeff, it sounds like they will take beach entries to fill the heats. Come on down.

Evan does want one of the open spots.
How do we get one held for him?

Great fun yesterday. Stoked to see my Cove buddies make the trip down, always good to surf and hang with you all :!:

Congrats to Jack, and to Sam for making it very close from what the fans said 8) Big congrats to Fish for the 3rd, and to Hunter for a good showing in his first ever contest.

Jeff Wallis (Dangerclose Products-GoPro Handles) was stoked to have everyone show up and the event organizers had nothing but good things to say about the kneeboard heats.

Looking forward to next year 8)

Hey Scott, surf was rideable/constestable, but overall poor and weak..
Still a great day to hang together with friends.
