Or, was that a time warp ala roll-back recovery?

I had trouble with 'Back to the Future...'

I kept waking up before going to sleep.

OK, whateva... back to my normally scheduled coffee.

And, since this is very random... Jack, curses to your Padres!

There were some hilarious heckles on posters in today's Chron... Bonds is going to have a tough go this year!

Hey Roberto,

yeah I was trippin' on the retro sitch on this thread......Rats.....seems I missed some heavy replys from both camps......guess it got too heated  ......Imagine that.......over rail grabs too......maybe we're gonna hafta hold segregated gatherings in the future......those who grab and those who don't..... ........It is good to see that the KB crew is passionate about our chosen medium but we "gotta keep those good vibrations happenin'..." .......grab or no grab, kneeboarding ROCKS......simple as that......
Aloha.......JA

-you made a great point yesterday about your knees being further apart closer to the rails. and asked if people who grabrail have their knees closer together, riding more upright & that perhaps this body languge would require pulling on the rail for proper torque and balence. the answer is yes. the other point i made was that the advent of the leash may have something to do with the trend away from using the rail. still another thing i said was that going left i don't grab rail naturally but going right it feels right.
another thing i had said was that it is foolish to take points away from someone in a contest simply because they grab rail. because on a huge bottom turn i personally think it looks cool, i prefer the look of it. i like a compact form on a bottom turn. no one found that picture of Fred Peterson. one of my favorite all time kneeboarding images. and he's NOT grabbing rail! i'll try and find it.

Since I posted that awhile ago, the good news is that it's easy to find by doing a search on my username in the photo gallery, or typing in 'Petersen' in the description.

The bad news is that I found the post, but the pic isn't posting.

I clicked to reveal larger image and it showed.

I took out 2 boards to ride in the rain and mushy slop here yesterday, to try and apply some of what I'm hearing and learning. I'll summarize some thoughts a little later on.

I've ridden waves so scary to me that my hand was on the rail from start to finish.
