Best use of banjo EVER = Led Zeppelin's "Gallow's Pole" off of Zep lll......
however Roy Clark was one helluva picker whether you like that music or not......an outstanding musician overall.....
But Jimmy Page takes the cake on "Gallow's Pole" backed by the HUGE drum sound of John Bonham....R.I.P. .........

Brings back memories...
....I was in a small town once near Sequoia National Park, Calif. waiting for a bus.... at the time many of the other people at the bus stop reminded me of those characters from that Banjo scence (ie. genetically deficient or interelated)....it was a very strange place....most unsettling in fact ......is that Deliverance style country'....? Does any body know as I ocassionally wondered???
