Anyone in my neck of the woods should seriously consider going to a certain stretch of sand between a certain set of dunes... NOW!

Had to take off early from work so I could indulge in the third day of 6 to 8 @ 14. It was easy leaving early because the golf course where I work was hosting the Western Oregon Seniors tournament and we did most our work in the pre-dawn hours. Surveying the aging linksters on my way out, I was filled with feelings of joy and good fortune as I thought to myself : " There, but for the grace of God, go I ". Not to sound like an elitist, for as a wise man once said, " It's all good." Still, I'd rather go for a shack  than go for a hack

I will agree with SF and K-man. this weekend was pretty dam good. Sat was small and clean; sunday was for me the fall opener at the local; solid HH to solid OH waves, glassy minimal crowd as size creeped up and paddle out got harder. No more long boards in the lineup. A bit cold and overcast but I am not complaining. Mid beach bars seemed to get a bit of groooming last week. Got some of larger waves since Peru. This week is going to be nuts at work but at least I got two solid sessions in this weekend.

Trestles felt like the upper 60's on Saturday afternoon......I was actually a bit hot in my fullsuit, a 3/2mil.......set waves were inconsistent but the lefts off the main bowl at Uppers were holding shape niceley.......I had a great 2-hour+ session......wind didn't kick up until 4:30pm......early afternoon glass was surprising........wishing I was there right now..... 8)

clean and pure glass for about an hour yesterday afternoon. Only 3-4ft but tons of fun. Must have gotten 10 waves with rides of 25-50 yards in less than an hour.

I don't know how many times I would already be planning on a wave only to see the guys inside just starting to paddle. Ha Ha Ha! I love my floaty kneeboard.
