I've never been able to see Catalina from Las Gaviotas eagle eyes.

Surf is still pretty fun and the sun is out.

I've had my rounds pounded there (L.J. Shores) for about 4 of the last 6 days.

I don't know if I would call a lot of them A frames unless you see in fast forward. Kind of strange conditions/swell direction at the Shores, long lulls, then a couple fairly large hollow shorepounders then another long lull, especially at the low,low tides lately.
Pretty fun,..... sometimes......... looking forward to the NW'ers to break near the pier.

Greenough's favorite spot, a long left reef has been 6-8ft and flawless. The beaches have been unreal for a week straight. :D

A-frames to the north, but wind has changed to northwest....good for the fire, bad for the surf

La Jolla or Oxnard
La Jolla Shores doesn't really ever qualify as "round and pound" from what I've seen. Pretty soft beachie

EVER? With this last SW swell direction SHORES WAS HOLLOW, with a lot of closeouts. Yes it's USUALLY soft beachbreak, and have to go towards Scripps pier for a little better conditions. This past week, especially last Sunday, just the opposite, the pier was flat and shores was firing  They're both flat now though.

no kava shores and scripps ARE 2 different spot due to the curve of the coastline which is very pronounced in that area
