Some times we work so hard to get some were. We forget were we came from. Did K B's start using fins because they could? Did they knee because they they had fins on? Where did the short board end and the knee board begin?????? I know what works for me  I really olny care if there is a fin attached to teeth

So the kneelos in Oz or Dee Why cant wear fins.
Doesnt sound like a 'respect' issue , sounds like opression.

careful not to delve tooooo deeeeeeeeep into the aussie male psych

bullying is more common place than people admit

sure in can have some surface "good" (?) consequences like skilled sports people or numbly brave soldiers etc...but it aint gunna change the core issues that between wars, global warming and poverty make the world rather f@*#ed

anyway, based on a once only look at the final on the vid I gave it to Baker on points....based on conditions v wave count v caught my eye

also gave him the points at nsg 05

....flipper man!

school yards, large suburban cricket clubs and under 19 level pro football are good fields for anthropological data re "manlyness"...and of course, surfing

As a newby, to me kneeboarding is an area of experimentation and people are always into their own thing. To each his own... (?) Whatever puts the umffff in your session is what you should stick with... 8)

Well..........here we go!

It's got nothing to do with "RESPECT","OPPRESSION" or "COOL GUY DEAL"
(ppppfffttt)
it's got to do with the practicality/ability to run accross rock shelves without flailing like an IDIOT

i find that using fins like dolphins use a fluke helps me to get some late take-off on waves i wouldnt normally be able to catch without fins/flips. how about that high tide mush on a hot summers day?

Now Dorje,
you make this too easy :? I'm not ordering anyone.....
I don't do that!!!
I do find it very contradictive of you
I also find it "oh so amusing" how quickly you jump on your HIGH horse with your ill-informed opinions & judgements.........relax......take it easy..... AND

flipperless, but booty-full :D

i still haven't totally committed either way, though i prefer flipperless.

it should be noted that i was a standup surfer for years and my main board (a 5'8" fish) is smaller and has way less volume than my kneeboards which are 5'9" and 5'11". i would like to try some 6ft+ kneelos though, flashpoints especially.

Now dy...Im quite chilled here

did we not have a discussion regarding the music of REM a few years back...maybe it was another sydney sider...anyway...REM had good social insight

also where is the condradiction :?

dy...it will be a few lifetimes (at least)before i have an enlightened (en-lightened) day but I am have a light day of social cricket in the country with friends tomorrow

I come from solid Irish stock...quite contrary and argumentative...theres not much I take seriously on this esteemed site other than kneeloness

I assume your commenting on my assessment of australian masculinity or...is my Baker as winner of the final on points call bothering you?

or both?

getting a high horse is fine if you can ride...even finer if you are prepared to fall off on occassions

if my social opinions are poorly judged and ill informed...well...thats according to you...I draw on a reasonable bibliography to form them and mentors to refine them

if my surfing opinions are poorly judged and ill informed...according to you...well...

big deal

...I wear flippers and mostly ride a quad...what would I know!!!...but I know what I like!!!

..and as hart reminds me...this is an American site...so freedom of speech eh!

el nino...yes if we all met in person wed probably all get on just fine...though dy would have to come down to 13th beach cos apparently I might not make it onto the beach at DY with...flippers...
